All companies employing in excess of 250 staff are required to move over to online filing and there are cash incentives for smaller companies to switch early.

For large companies (employing more than 250 staff) the electronic submission is mandatory and penalties will be enforced for late submissions.

For medium sized employers (employing between 50 and 249 staff) the electronic submission will be madatory for 19th May 2006.

For smaller companies (less than 50 staff) there are savings to be made for switching early.

Save in total £825 over the 5 years to 2010

All companies, regardless of size will need be requred to have electronic submission for the endo of year by 2010.
